How to Take Photos that Could Inspire your Writing?
![]()
The photo you use to create your writing should be a visual report that places the reader at the scene and bring home the drama, the humor or the oddness of an event. Regardless of the subject, they all have immediacy and timeliness, and often they have impact. They should be a combination of two or more of the following:
-informative
-emotional,
-dramatic,
-documentary (they are proof that an event occured),
-exciting,
-artistic and humorous.
Photos could range from being strictly informative portraits that allows the reader to see what a person in the story looks like, to photos of beauty or tragedy that may transfix one for the moment and haunt one for days.
Even if at first you may feel imossible to write about the photo, there is always a possibility that you can just use it for the project with a caption only.
