Grading Policies for the DVD Yearbook Class Spring 2009
1st Marking Period
- Attendance (Total 20%)
- Punctuality( no excessive lateness)
- No excessive absences
- DVD Yearbook participation and contribution (individual)( Total 20%)-
- Complete the editing of the DVD Yearbook footage (assigned senior trip clips ) (10%)
- Video tape at least one senior activity (10%)
- Short Film project-help the group (Total 40%)
- Finalize the subject and title for the film 10%
- Complete the script of the film ( message/theme, scenes, characters, dialogues, etc) 10%
- Shoot raw footage ( interviews, related scenes) 10%
- Edit the collected footage and create the 1st draft of the film 10%
- Class/group activities (Total 20%)
- Work collaboratively in class with your group members 10%
- Focus on tasks( individual) 10%
Your grade is based on your individual contribution to the group project and the completion of other required class work.
2nd Marking Period
- Attendance 20%
- Punctuality( no excessive latenesses)
- No excessive absences
- Theater( mandatory attendance) 15%
- Theater trips (April 23-Chasing Manet & April 29 Joe Turner Come and Go)
- Theater workshops (April 8, April 22, April 27 & May 13)
- Written response to Joe Turner Come and Go (Due May 15)
- DVD Yearbook participation and contribution( individual) - 30%
- Complete the editing of the DVD Yearbook footage ( assigned clips )
- Video tape at least one senior activity
- Short Film project-help the group

- Complete editing the short film( Due April 8, '09)
- Uploading the film to vimeo.com for the Universal Studio short film contest ( Due April 20, 2009)
- Individually, have you parent sign the consent form
- Collect appearance release forms from all the guests who appeared in your film
- Type a detailed description of the film
- Collage ( individual)

- Create an artwork or digital collage that promotes peace among three major religions- Islam, Judaism and Christianity
3rd Marking Period
- Attendance Total 20%
- Punctuality( no excessive latenesses)
- No excessive absences
- DVD Yearbook participation and contribution( individual) - Total 80%
- Complete the editing of the DVD Yearbook footage ( assigned clips ) 10%
- Video tape at least two senior activities (Due May 20) 5%
- Interview at least one staff member(Due May 25) 5%
- Edit the footage you have collected(Due May 29) 10%
- Select the appropriated music for your clips 2%
- Create collages of senior portraits( Due May 8) 3%
- Create 3 pieces of collage based on current events (Due May 15) 5%
- Make a 20-minute DVD yearbook video by editing(including the music, voice other and the title page etc) and combining the assigned clips(Due June 18) 40%
