Day 1 & 2 (Oct.28 &29)

• Read and study Ovid's "The Four Ages" using the study questions as the guide.
• Pick any five questions to answer after reading.
• Use a dictionary if necessary to look up any unfamiliar words

Day 3  (Oct. 30)

HW: Research online and write an essay on:

Compare the story of the flood in Hebraic myth (Genesis), and Greco-Roman myth (Ovid's Metamorphoses, Book 1).  Discuss the following elements of the flood stories: 

• The cause of the flood. 
• The process of the flood. 
• the meaning of the flood to human 
• the relation of God (Gods, Goddesses) to human.

Day 4 (Oct 31)

Take the Columbus Quest on Oct 30th (Day 18) and read the articles of  "Myth & Legends" as well as "Team Updates". Write a journal (#7) describing what you read and add your personal response to what you have read.

HW. Finish Journal #7.

Extra Credit Work (Journal #8): Take the Columbus Quest on Oct 29 (Day 17) and read the articles of "Kid's Profile" and "Nature Notes". Write a journal (#8) describing what you read and add your personal response to what you have read.

Day 5(Nov.1)

• Read aloud in class Ovid's "The Four Ages"
• Divide the poems into four parts by the descriptions of each Age.
• Look for images that represent each Age

HW. Based on the discussion, modify your answer for the questions you have selected.
