Goal #1:   I understand the writing prompt and the components required to write a passing Task 11I Regents essay

 

 

 

 

 

 

Goal# 2. I can identify an author’s attitude on a specific topic. I am able to draw inferences.  I can compare/contrast the attitudes of two authors on the same topic. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Goal #3:  : I can write a passing Task 1II Regents essay based on the rubric

 

 

 

 

 

 

Goal #4:   I can define and identify literary elements.  I can explain how literary elements function in a work of fiction.  I can distinguish between plot and theme in literary works.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Goal #5:  I can give an oral presentation, using index cards, not simply reading aloud.
