Aim: To prepare your oral presentation on the assigned amendment
Do Now:
- Copy Word of the Day (brief definition, partsof speech, and the example sentence)
- Copy Daily Test Prep( question and answer)
- Read and copy ONE news summary
- On this Day in History ( after reading, copy down one snippet of On this Day in History )
Activities:
1. Create a poster for your presentation
- Copy the amendment on the poster
- glue the illustrations on the poster.
2. Prepare your presentation
- Talk to your audience
- Don't read from the paper.
- You have 5 minutes to present.
- Don't forget to ask your audience the questions .
- Here is the order of presentation
- Read the amendment out loud
- In your own words, explain what it means.
- Use a court case to explain the importance of the amendment.
- Ask the audience questions.
- Show the poster.
To prepare your talk show, you'll need to-
- read the amendment to your audience
- explain in your own words what it means
- talk about its history
- give an example( a court case)to illustrate its implementation in our daily life
- Prepare 3 questions to ask your audience
- Bonus:
- Find/Create some graphics to illuistrate the Amendment of your choice.
- Create a rap to explain your amendment and its importance.
