Writing Activity One

You will create a writing of any genre by doing the following activities:

  1. Research for an artist , musician or novelist that you are interested in from any period in  history, for example, ancient Greece, ancient Rome, the Medieval, the Renaissance, the Enlightenment, the Romanticism periods, or late 19th or 20th century.
  2. Read about the artist- his real life story including his accomplishments, his hardships, his controversies and other crucial details in his life.
  3. Find at least 10 pieces of artwork created by the artist and interpret the meanings of the work.
  4. Find and read  at least one article of criticism on the artist's work.
  5. Choose one painting or music and create a story  behind the scene. Use your imagination and the facts you have collected about the artist while developing the story.
